At the star we have successfully hosted several weddings since our refurbishment.

As a small country pub we benefit from a cosy interior and spacious gardens and we specialise in all the best things about being British. Great Beer, excellent food and knowing how to throw a good party.

We can help with whatever style of wedding you are looking for; from formal dining to relaxed country weddings to something themed or fun.

Our restaurant can seat 50 people for formal dining, from carvery dinners to 7 course meals we can tailor the event to be just what you have dreamt about. Our dining room is in the style of a modern hunting lodge, including antler chandeliers, have a look at our photos or come along and see for yourself. We have great atmosphere and it really is a beautiful room.

We rear our own pork on our family farm and our late night pig roasts are always fantastically received.

If you’re looking for something summery or less formal let us host a gourmet bbq for you with roasted chicken and skewered prawns, home made burgers and bbq’d fish kebabs with stacks of yummy jacket potatoes, corn on the cob and salads.

Our gardens can be lit with fire pits or fairy lights and we have a stash of pop up gazebos to cover the changeable British weather.

Some of the types of wedding we have helped create for our customers have been, Eccentrically English, English Country Garden, Traditional Dinner and Dancing, Relaxed Country Wedding to name but a few.

We are not a wedding specialist, you will not be on a conveyor belt with other weddings. We are a small independent British country Inn dedicated to delivering exactly what, if not more, than our customers want. You will have the personal attention of the owner throughout the planning process and can come and see us whenever and however many times, you want to.
